Although it has now been a long time since the major floods in 2007, that by no means guarantees the future; despite all the good work done by the EA, councils, Severn Trent and individual householders it could happen again – and we had some very narrow misses in the winters of 2010 and 2014. There are parts of our city that will always be vulnerable, especially close to the River Severn.
