An update on COVID19 restrictions
Very few people want Lockdown2 and all the restrictions that go with it - but I was persuaded that even in Tier1 Gloucestershire we have to accept it temporarily (see https://www.facebook.com/richard4gloucester/videos/374783630244292 speech).
The risk otherwise is that our NHS might have to provide ‘mutual aid’ elsewhere & not have enough staff to look after all our patients - whether COVID19 or not.
Lockdown2 is not the same as the earlier version. This chart summarises the main differences and gives the web link (www.gov.uk/coronavirus) to more detailed rules and guidance, some of which is evolving as people ask more and more ‘what about..?’ questions.

On Friday there will be a mass testing by the Army of the whole of Liverpool, and if that works and effective isolation rules are put in place for those testing positive then the impact on how we suppress the reinfection rate could be huge. That in turn may impact how quickly both our county and the rest of the country comes out of Lockdown2 in early December. We shall see.

I know this Lockdown2 will have a bad impact on some small businesses and employees, it is against any of our views on natural liberties and it cuts off many of us from doing what we want to do.
Which is why I raised several issues in my speech - like faith services, gyms and certain sports. I will continue to press for these clarifications and relaxations - but meanwhile please let’s keep to the rules as they are, effective today.
